Tina Haskins

Tina Haskins' current research foci involve the maintenance and routine care of Rutger's Slocum electric glider fleet. The team uses these autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) in an effort to monitor the coastal oceans around the world. She participates in field operations involving the deployment and recovery of gliders as well as commanding and controlling this worldwide fleet of ocean observing platforms. In addition, she helps with various public outreach and education events, including lab tours and presentations on the Coastal Ocean Observation Lab specifically highlighting the Slocum glider.
